Eno Commons is located in Durham, North Carolina. Close by are Chapel Hill and Raleigh. A large business district located within the area enclosed by these three cities is known as Research Triangle Park. Among its inhabitants are Cisco Systems, IBM, Glaxo Wellcome, and Northern Telecom, to name but a few.
The Triangle area has a number of universities and colleges, which contribute to a rich mix of cultural activities, in addition to providing excellent continuing education opportunities. Four major universities call the area home: Duke and NC Central Universities (Durham); the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and NC State (Raleigh). Among other colleges in the area are Shaw University and St. Augustine's College (Raleigh); Campbell University (Buie's Creek); and Durham Technical Community College.
It's a vibrant, progressive area with a lot happening culturally and artistically. The Triangle area is growing but still has a rural feel. A good portion of the populace are transplants. This is one good reason to live in a Cohousing Community; conserve resources and avoid suburban sprawl.
